We stopped at the Premiere Classe Chartres Sud – Barjouville on our over 1000 km road trip trough France as it was somewhere in the middle of our travel.
It is a budget hotel but very well adapted for wheelchair travelers. Two adapted double bedrooms on the ground floor (I presume it is the same line-up on each floor). I noticed something new and unfortunately rare in hotels I have stayed – Braille anywhere possible for visually impaired people.
The room was big enough to move around on a wheelchair. Bathroom also big and well adapted with grab rails, a roll-in shower with wall mounted seat. Sink with an empty space underneath plus a perfectly levelled mirror.
Location is not central but plenty of shops and restaurants around. It is around 5 km to the town centre of Chartres and its famous cathedral. I’m very impressed and happy with this hotel, especially for best value and perfect accessibility.
